Obituary of Florence Goodkin

FLORENCE "EDNA" GOODKIN GOODKIN Albany, New York Florence " Edna" Goodkin, age 92 of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany formerly of Lyric Avenue in Albany died on Sunday September 6, 2009 at the nursing home. Edna was born in Albany and was a Capital District resident most of her life. She had been employed as a bookkeeper at one time for the Hudson Scrap Iron Company in Albany. She was a long time member of the Workmen's Circle Branch # 320 in Albany and served for many years as the cemetery chairperson of the Workmen's Circle Cemetery in Guilderland. She was an avid bowler, and an active member of the Senior Adult Group at the Sidney Albert Albany Jewish Community Center. Edna was married to her loving husband, Harry Goodkin until his passing. She was dearly loved by her sister-in-laws, brother-in- laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services at the Workmen's Circle Cemetery on Western Avenue in Guilderland, NY on Tuesday September 8, 2009 at 11:00am.
