Dear Seftel Family,

Dr. Seftel was such an extraordinary physician. So kind, caring and funny too! What a blessing he was. He delivered our daughter in 1984 and our twin boys in 1991. He always made us feel special, like family, though we suspect he was like that with all his patients. He was a gift to all of us that knew him and was fortunate enough to have him as their physician. He will be sorely missed. Our heartfelt prayers and deepest sympathies to your family.

To the Seftel Family,
We were deeply saddened and shocked to hear that Lee had passed away. He delivered our son Benjamin, and we both worked with Lee at Ellis for many years. He was a gentleman, a scholar, and a real mensch. The world is a poorer place without him in it. They just don't make them like that any more. Our deepest sympathies to the entire family. I was shocked to know that Leroy Seftel had passed away. I remember first hearing his name from Dr. Albert
Altchek from Manhattan, N.Y. Myself, a sales rep from Searle labs was moving to Schenectady. My wife Karen was 7 months pregnant with Jonathan my only son. Dr. Altchek said to me, Leroy Seftel in Schenectady is the best OBGYN you can find. So I found him and he became my friend, my customer, and delivered my son Jonathan who now works for Pfizer selling pharmaceuticals like his Dad. God bless the Seftel family at this time. John and Karen Mariano
