Obituary of Leona Muraven

Leona Muraven age 75 passed away on Friday, July 17, 2009. She was a resident of The Beltrone Living Center in Colonie, where she enjoyed activities, her fellow residents and the convenience of the location. As a child and young adult she lived in the town of Nassau, New York and later moved to Albany. She attended New York University. She worked for several years for the former National Commercial Bank. Later she worked for many years for the New York State Division of Criminal Justice, from which she retired. She is survived by her daughter Risa Stewart and her son-in-law Sandy Stewart. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday July 20, 2009 at the Independent Benevolent Cemetery, Fuller Road, Guilderland, New York. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 315 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, New York 12208.
