Obituary of Rose Perlman
ROSE CUTLER PERLMAN
Rose Cutler Perlman, age 88, of Waterford died on Monday morning, January 16, 2012 at the
Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born in Cohoes, NY, Mrs. Perlman was a resident of Waterford, NY most of her life. She was a 1942 graduate of the Cohoes High School. She had been employed for more than 40 years as a bookkeeper for the former Bennett Textile Co. and the Swan Knit Co., Cohoes, NY. She was a member of Congregation Gates of Heaven in Schenectady, NY. Mrs. Perlman was an avid movie fan, enjoyed classical music, as well as reading Jane Austin books. She enjoyed her neighborhood in Waterford and maintained close relationships with her neighbors.
Mrs. Perlman was married to Sam Perlman until his passing in 1997. Loving mother of Dr. Marc Perlman and his wife Kathleen of Mohnton, PA and Donna Harat and her husband Michael of Clifton Park, NY. Grandmother of Brian and Brenden Harat and David Perlman. Rose also leaves her friend, Kathy Heroux of Waterford, NY who was like a daughter to her. She was predeceased by two brothers, Sam and Maurice Cutler and a sister Mildred Sherman. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Services at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Ave., Schenectay, NY on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Schenectady, NY. Those wishing to remember Rose in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the Waterford Rescue Squad, 46 4th Street, Waterford, NY 12188. Following the service of interment, friends are invited to call at 12 Belanger Avenue in Waterford, NY. The family wishes to thank Dr. Colum Amory and the staff at the Albany Medical Hospital for the care and kindnesses shown to our family.
