George Oser, age 86 of Winners Circle in Colonie, NY died on Saturday afternoon June 6, 2009 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center in Albany. Mr. Oser was born in Brooklyn, NY and had been self employed as a farmer in New Jersey for many years. He later was the owner and operator of the former Castro Convertibles on the lower level in Colonie Center from 1960 to 1985. He was an Army Veteran and served during World War II. Mr. Oser was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Natalie Kleinman Oser, and a daughter, Karen Oser of NYC and a son Ira Oser of Jersey City, New Jersey. He also leaves a brother, Zale Oser of Little Silver, New Jersey.
Services at the Mendleson Chapel on the grounds of the Beth Emeth Cemetery, Turner Lane in Loudonville, NY on Monday June 8, 2009 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the family plot at Beth Emeth Cemetery. Those wishing to remember George in a special way may make a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice.
