Obituary of Judith Gluck
JUDITH VALLIN GLUCK
1934-2009
Judith Vallin Gluck, 75, of Niskayuna, died Friday, May 29, 2009, after a short illness. Born in Pittsfield, Mass, Judy received her bachelor's degree from Russell Sage College. She was the daughter of Daniel and Dora Vallin. Judy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Seymour, and three children, Jeffrey Gluck and his wife Elizabeth of Woodcliff Lake, NJ, Barry Gluck and his girlfriend Penny Plew of Clifton Park, and Lori Murphy and her husband Jim of Clifton Park; five grandchildren, Jessica, Caroline and Alexandra of Woodcliff Lake, and Jennifer and Rachel of Clifton Park. Judy worked as an assistant buyer for Jordan Marsh in Boston and later was a children's wear buyer for Delmar based Little Folks Shops. She was a former member of the Mohawk Golf Club in Schenectady and the Shaker Ridge Country Club in Colonie. Judy will be long remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a member of Schenectady's Studio of Bridge and held the title of "Ace of Clubs" for three consecutive years.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Congregation Agudat Achim, 2117 Union Street, Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Ellis Hospital or Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Jim and Lori Murphy, 17 Cindy Lane in Clifton Park, NY on Sunday following the service of interment.
