Obituary of Bea Greenfield

BEA GREENFIELD 1927- 2009 McKownville, NY GREENFIELD Beatrice E. VanVoorhis Greenfield, age 82 of West Dillenbeck Drive in McKownville, NY died on Monday afternoon May 4, 2009 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Beatrice was born in Albany and was a lifelong Capital District resident. She had been employed as a clerical worker for the NYS PTA in Albany. She was a member of Temple Israel, was very active with the McKownville Volunteer Fire Department where she served as secretary of the ladies auxiliary of the Fire Department. Mrs. Greenfield was married to Milton L. Greenfield, "Uncle Miltie"until his passing in 1994. She is survived by her son, David Greenfield of Troy, NY and a brother, Howard VanVoorhis and his wife Betty of Albany, NY. Grandmother of Hilary Yodis and her husband Justin of Murfreesboro, Tn. and Tracy Greenfield of Albany. Great grandmother of Breana. Beatrice was also predeceased by her sister, Catherine Miller. Step Mother of Milton Jr, Herman and Kirt. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beatrice was predeceased by 2 step children, Ron and Ricky. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Thursday May 7, 2009 at 1:00pm Interment will follow in the Temple Israel Cemetery in Guilderland, NY.
