Obituary of Frances Melnick

FRANCES MELNICK 1920 2009 ALBANY, NY Frances Melnick, 88, died on Thursday April, 23, 2009 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. She was born in NYC to the late Anna and Nathan Melnick. Frances lived most of her life in NYC before moving to Albany in 2001. She was employed for over 55 years by the family paper business, N. Melnick and Son of NYC. Frances will be most remembered for her determination, quick wit, indomitable spirit, and devotion to family. Special aunt and surrogate mother to many nephews and nieces, most especially Ilene, Chip, Heather, and Jodi Stein of Loudonville, Herb, Todd, Lindsey Dembo and Margaret DiGiulio of Niskayuna, and Natalie and Jerome Smith of Tucson, Arizona. Frances was predeceased by her siblings Isidore Melnick, Edward Melnick, Pauline Garelick, and Sandra Dembo. Funeral arrangements are pending and will take place in NYC.
