Obituary of Alexander Kolchetski

ALEXANDER L. KOLCHETSKI 1918-2009 Alexander L. Kolchetski, loving and devoted son of the late Michael (Big Mike) and Rosa Szwedo- Kolchetzski, passed away at St. Peter's Hospice Inn on April 8, 2009. He was the loving and devoted husband of Claire Geller- Kolchetski for 38 years. Alex enlisted and served in the US Coast Guard during World War II for 4 years. He was predeceased by his devoted sister, Julia (Gordon) Le Doux; Josephine (Robert) Cashin II; and Brother Frank (Dorothy) Lubinetsky Kolchetski as well as niece, Joanne Cashin -Di Tano (Bernard) and nephew, Robert Cashin III. He is survived by his devoted wife, Claire as well as nieces, Mary Ellen Elliott ( Warren) of Waltham , Mass; Alice Carlson of Springfield, VA., and nephews Frank LeDoux of Albany and Larry ( Pat) LeDoux of Gainesville, VA., as well as many grand nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his pets, Kasha and Tasha. Alex was a machinist employed by Streck's, National Lead, State University Campus and the South Mall. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and Polish American Citizen's Club. Our family would like to thank the nurses of the 4th floor at St. Peter's Hospital, including; Trista, Alma, Joe, Peggy and Dana as well as Hospice staff, Kathleen Osterhout, night nurse, Darlene and Veronica, you are all Angels, devoted to Alex in a very special way. Our thanks also to Chaplain Betsy Ewalt, a very special loving lady. Services were conducted privately. Burial took place in Memory's Garden on April 11, 2009. Contributions in memory of Alex should be sent to St. Peter's Hospice.
