Obituary of Minnie Hand

MINNIE HAND 1915- 2009 Minnie Skolnik Hand, age 93 of Sand Creek Road in Colonie died on Sunday March 29, 2009 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Mrs. Hand was born in NYC and resided most of her life there prior to moving to the Capital District in 1991. Minnie was married to Arthur Hand until his passing in 2001. Loving Mother of Gary Hand and his wife Sheila of Selkirk, NY. She also leaves her cherished granddaughter, Alisa Hand who was the "apple of her eye". Minnie was predeceased by 4 brothers, Murray, Jack, Albert and David Skolnik Services at the Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, New York on Tuesday March 31, 2009 at 1:00pm. Those wishing to remember Minnie in a special way may make a memorial contribution to either the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Road Loudonville, NY 12211 or Community Hospice of Albany 445 New Karner Road Albany, NY 12205. Friends may call at the home of Gary and Sheila Hand, 90 Dorchester Avenue in Selkirk, NY on Wednesday evening April 1st. Mrs. Hand's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the many private caregivers as well as those from Community Hospice for the care and comfort extended to her during her recent illness.
