Obituary of Lillie Simon

LILLIE PELMAN SIMON 1918-2009 Lillie Pelman Simon, age 90 of Massachusetts Avenue in Troy, NY died Friday March 27, 2009 at the Wright Rehabilitation Center in Seminole, Florida while vacationing. Mrs. Simon was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and resided in Troy most of her life. She was a member of Temple Beth El as well as a member of Hadassah where she served as Past President. Lillie was married to Bernard Simon until his passing in 1986. She is survived by her son, David Simon of Troy, NY and her daughter, Laurie Rose Simon and her partner, Carol Hohenstein of Maplewood, Mn. Grandmother of Chandra Simon. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Betty Lipsky as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Julian Levine Services at Temple Beth El 411 Hoosick Street Troy, NY on Thursday April 2, 2009 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in the Beth El Cemetery in Troy, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to Hadassah.
