I just learned of Ezra's death when my father, Bill Pozefsky, sent me the obituary from the Times Union. I have fond memories of Ezra, whom I knew as the father of my friend Fran Waldman when my family lived nearby in Westbury, NY. I remember Ezra best for his (and his lovely wife Yetta's) hosting their Yom Kippur break-fast -- to which he invited me and my family. He was always warm and welcoming to us -- and seemed at the time to be one of the few adults who was happy sharing stories and conversation directly with me -- a young teenager at the time. I remember him fondly and extend my condolences to Fran, Mitch and their families.

You and Yetta were so incredibly special and important to us. But you knew that already.

To the family of Ezra Waldman, I volunteered with ezra at Temple Israel and attended discussion periods at the JCC. He was an erudite, knowledgible man, who was always defending Israel. I enjoyed his company, during the summer months while I was in albany.
