Obituary of Shirley G. Heublum

SHIRLEY G. HEUBLUM 1926-2009 Shirley G. Tucker Heublum, age 82, of the Ohav Shalom Apartments on New Krumkill Road in Albany, died on Sunday morning, March 22, 2009, at the Albany Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Heublum was born in Albany, NY, and was a graduate of Albany High School and Mildred Elley Business School. She had been employed as an insurance underwriter for the former Tucker Lieberman Insurance Company in Albany. She was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany, Hadassah and Pioneer Women now known as N'AAMAT. She had also been the secretary-treasurer for the Dolls while residing in Florida. Shirley loved to play mah jongg and card games. She also enjoyed her "Mondays" at the Saratoga Racino. She will be most remembered for her love and dedication to her family. Shirley was married to Gustav Heublum until his passing in 2000. Loving Mother of Jody Heublum Bailey and her husband Budd of Buffalo, NY, and Bonnie Miller and her husband Dr. Stuart Miller of Loudonville, NY. Sister of Leona Simon of Boca Raton, Florida, and Marilyn Milstein and her husband Herbert also of Boca Raton. Cherished "Nanny" of Randy, Lindsey and Marney Miller. Shirley also leaves her special confidant, Kathie "Tata" Agee and her grand pup, Cleo, as well as several nieces and nephews. Services at the Hebrew Tailors Cemetery Western Avenue Guilderland, NY on Tuesday March 24, 2009 at 12 noon. The Period of Mourning will be observed from Tuesday night through Thursday evening at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Stuart Miller, 8 Turnberry Lane, Loudonville. Those wishing to remember Shirley in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Pulmonary Critical Care Services, c/o Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12206, which is a fund that will be initiated to help others obtain pulmonary rehabilitation for those who could not afford to do so otherwise.
