CUTLER
Gordon Cutler, age 88 of Boca Raton, Florida formerly of Troy, NY died Friday morning February 20, 2009 at his residence in Boca Raton. Gordon was born in New York City and resided for many years in Troy. He moved to Boca Raton several years ago. He was an Army Veteran and served during World War II. Gordon was associated for many years with the family business, Cutler Brothers Meat Market on Northern Blvd. in Albany and was later the proprietor of Gordon's Liquor Store on Clinton Avenue in Albany. He was a member of the Beth Tephilah Synagogue in Troy. Gordon, while residing in the Capital District area enjoyed summers in Lake George, NY.
He was the son of the late Louis and Rose Weiner Cutler. Gordon is survived by his loving nieces and nephews, Diane Sasscer and her husband Bill of Lake Worth, Florida, Robin Bishop and her husband, Frank of Albany, NY, Arlene Lew of Troy, NY, Sandy Moses and her husband Alan of Connecticut and Richard Altman and his wife Janet also of Connecticut. Gordon was predeceased by a brother, Edward Cutler, and 4 sisters, Frances Greenberg, Esther Altman, Frieda Lew and Bertha Levy.
Services at the Beth Tephilah Cemetery, Spring Avenue Troy, NY on Sunday February 22, 2009 at 2:30pm. Those wishing to remember Gordon in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Hospice by the Sea, 1531 West Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, Florida 33486.
