Obituary of Bernard Friedkin

BERNARD FRIEDKIN 1916 2009 Bernard Friedkin, age 92 of Tarboro, North Carolina died on Sunday February 1, 2009 at the Heritage Hospital in Tarboro. Mr. Friedkin was born in Brooklyn, NY and has resided most of his life in Florida, later moving to Tarboro. He was an Army Veteran and served during World War II and was a member of the Jewish War Veterans. He was a federal government employee working many years for the Veterans Administration in St. Petersburg, Florida. After his retirement from the government Mr. Friedkin entered a second career in theater. He was a well know actor, performing at dinner theaters throughout the country and had the opportunity to perform with many well know actors. Mr. Friedkin is survived by his loving wife, Ann Linett Friedkin. Beloved father of Barbara (Thomas) Kane of Tarboro, NC. Brother of Selma Shifman of Atlanta, Georgia. Cherished grandfather of Jason and Dennis Kane. He also leaves nieces and nephews. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany on Thursday February 5, 2009 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Ohav Shalom Cemetery on Church Road in Guilderland, NY.
