Obituary of Hugh C. Samiof

TROY, NY SAMIOF Hugh Samiof, age 54, of Troy died suddenly at St Mary's Hospital on January 7, 2009 surrounded by his family. Hugh was born in New York City and moved back to Troy as an infant after the sudden death of his father. Hugh was a lifelong Troy resident. He graduated from Troy High School and attended Russell Sage Junior College of Albany. He worked in the automobile finance industry. Hugh was predeceased by his loving fathers, Isadore Cohen and Samuel (Chickie) Samiof. He is survived by his dear mother, Paula (Goodman) Samiof, his loving sons Jonathan and Craig, his wife Robin Nitz, and several close Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services at Temple Beth El 411 Hoosick Street in Troy on Friday January 9, 2009 at 12 noon. Interment will follow services in the Beth El Cemetery in Troy. . Friends are welcome to his home after the burial at 34 Stone Arabia Drive in Troy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Temple Beth El or to a charity of one's choice.
