Obituary of Carolyn P. Heller
Carolyn P. Heller of Loudonville died Monday afternoon, January 5th, surrounded by family. She was the beloved daughter of the late George and Irna Patchen. She was born on December 1, 1936 in the Bronx, and raised in New Rochelle. She was a graduate of New Rochelle High School and Simmons College, from which she received a BS in 1958. She had many and varied interests, but all who knew her would agree that her greatest achievements were as a mother. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mark Heller, and her four children: Cynthia (Steven Weinreb) of West Hartford, CT; Justin (Ruth) of Slingerlands; Martha (Tony Vaver) of Westborough, MA; and Jason (Alison) of Clifton Park. She is also survived by her brother Stanley (Mindell) of New Rochelle, her brother-in-law Miles (Nancy) of Burlington VT, 11 grandchildren, nephews, and other family and friends, all of whom loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue, Albany on Thursday, January 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Beth Emeth Cemetery on Turner Lane in Loudonville. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of mourning at the Heller residence, following the interment service. In lieu of flowers, a contribution in Carolyn's memory may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205.
