Obituary of Risa Lee Viglucci

Risa L. Pomerantz Viglucci, age 54, of Western Avenue in Albany, died on Thursday, November 6, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Risa was a lifelong Albany resident and was a graduate of the Milne School, SUNY Albany and Albany Law School. Risa was an Assistant Attorney General with the New York State Attorney General's Office and prior to that was an Assistant District Attorney with the Albany County District Attorney's Office. She was also very active in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, serving as a board member. Risa enjoyed collecting antiques, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Risa is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael Viglucci, Jr.; two children, Nicole Lemerond (Jeffrey) of Manhattan and Brian Viglucci (Sabrina) of Albany; her grandson, William Lemerond; her sisters, Sharlene Doherty of Albany and Rona Calogero (Frank) of Mamaroneck; and her mother-in-law, Ann Viglucci of Albany. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Risa was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Sylvia Pomerantz and her father-in-law Michael Viglucci, Sr. Services will be held at the Levine Memorial Chapel at 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Saturday, November 8, 2008 10:30am The period of mourning will be observed at the Viglucci home at 668 Western Avenue in Albany on Saturday evening from 7-9PM and Sunday from 1-5PM.
