Obituary of Sylvia Marino

Albany, New York MARINO (DISMAN) Sylvia Marino, age 98 of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany died on Saturday afternoon October 18, 2008 at the nursing home. Sylvia was born in Poland on April 12, 1910 and moved to Albany 20 years ago from Long Island. She was the daughter of the late Anna and Max Goldstein. She was a member of Temple Israel in Albany and Past Matron of the Eastern Star. Sylvia was the wife of the late Raphael Disman and Michael Marino. She is survived by her son, Philip Disman and his wife Barbara of Boynton Beach, Florida. She was predeceased by a daughter, Claire Gruenstein as well as a grandson, Robert Gruenstein. She was the beloved grandmother of Randi Zettler, Susan (John) Hudgel, Ilene (Greg) Ferguson, Andrew (Nancy) Disman and Steven Gruenstein. She also cherished and had a great love for her 10 great grandchildren. Sylvia leaves several step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sylvia's family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the many nurses and aids at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home as well as the Hospice staff for the care and kindnesses shown to Sylvia and our family during her stay at the nursing home. .
