Paul M. Ryan, age 50 of Schenectady, NY passed away on Thursday morning October 16, 2008 at the Glendale Nursing Home in Glenville, NY. Paul was born in Troy, and was the son of the late James P. and Nancy Mackrell Ryan. He was a life long Capital District resident. He had been employed by the New York State Assembly in Albany and later became the co-owner and Vice President of AMF Company in Albany. Paul was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf.
Paul is survived by his son, Kevin J. Ryan of Schenectady, NY, 2 sisters, Jane R. Levine and her husband Mark W. Levine of Loudonville, NY, Anne M. O'Brien and her husband, Jay O'Brien of Brunswick, NY and a brother, James P. Ryan and his wife Sandy of Colonie, NY. Uncle of Daniel and Lauren O'Brien and Patrick and Molly Ryan. He is also survived by a special aunt, Jane M. Collins of Menands, NY and 2 devoted cousins, Kristine McLoughlin of Latham, NY and Jay Schneider ( Kathy) of Brunswick, NY. Paul also leaves several other cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, J. Michael Ryan and a sister Ellen Ryan Howland.
Funeral will be on Monday October 20, 2008 at 8:30am from the Bowen Funeral Home 97 Old Loudon Road in Latham, NY and at 9:30am at St. Augustine's Church , Fourth Avenue and 115th Street in Lansingburgh, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Troy, NY. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call at the Bowen Funeral Home on Sunday October 19, 2008 from 4-7pm.
