Obituary of Claire Dunn

Albany, New York DUNN Claire Dunn, age 87, of the Ohav Shalom Apartments on Krumkill Road in Albany died on Sunday morning October 12, 2008 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. Claire was born in Albany and was a life long resident. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Lucy Rabineau Dunn. She was employed by the NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation in Albany for more than 50 years. She was a former member of the NYS Women's Press Association. Claire was a member of Congregation Beth Abraham Jacob in Albany, Abigail Lodge # 3 United Order of True Sisters in Albany, and the Ohav Shalom Tenants Association in Albany. She also volunteered at the Albany Jewish Community Center Senior Adult Program. Claire is survived by a niece, Eileen ( Stephen) Strosberg of Albany, NY, 2 nephews, Steven ( Amy) Dunn of Michigan and Irving Dunn ( Sandi Morgan). She was the great aunt of Alissa ( Ira) Friedman, Jason Strosberg, Asher Dunn and Jacob Dunn. She also leaves a great-great nephew, Dylan Henry Friedman. Claire was predeceased by a sister, Grace Dunn and a brother Bernard Dunn and his wife, Deborah Dunn. Services at the Independent Benevolent Society Cemetery Chapel, Fuller Road in Guilderland, NY on Monday October 13, 2008 at 11:30am.
