David had very fond memories of his Hebrew school education at Tifereth Israel present home of Maimonides School, he had his Bar Mitzva there, and was very excited hearing his old hebrew school was in use and vibrant, once again filled with warmth of Jewish tradition. May his memory be a blessing .

Shelley, Mike, Gary, Lynne, Brian, Scott, Jane and the Richter family, I am sorry for your loss of such a wonderful man. I will truly miss my friend and "The Boss". I have such great memories of starting each day being greeted by Dave with a big smile immediately followed by "Did you see that game last night?". Every day always started with the glass half full. I can only hope to someday view the world and life as positively as my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Shelly and Gary It seems strnage that we knew Dave before we actually met him and his family. Aunt Sadie was a close friend of Ann and Florence Morris, Tom's aunts. She was often talking about her wonderful nephew , Dave. When we first saw Dave he was on his side lawn with Shelly. It was December of 1971 just after we moved into the neighborhood. Shelly and Dave were headed toa New York Giants football game in New York. Later as spring flowers bloomed, there was Dave and Shelly throwing a softball in the same side yard and that continued through the spring and summer. We also remember his family installing the "neighborhood" basketball hoop which Shelly used until she wore a path to the five shooting spots. Later Dave agreed to allow other neighbors to move the hoop further down Catherine Street, where it still stands today, because his chrildren wer grown and gone. Another fond memory we have of this wonderful family was when we had a house fire in i978. Tom asked Nan for a phone book to find a motel for the 8 of us. Nan immediately invited us to stay at their home. They were absolute life savers. Who else would have offered housing for us all without a second thought I personally can remember my many afternoons and nights talking to Shelly about Gary as well as the rest of the family. At times I thought of her as a ninth child. In conclusion, Dave was a very charismatic businessman who I will always have fond memories of as a neighbor for almost 30 years.

Dear Gary, Shelly, and Jane, It is with deep sorrow that I learned of Dave's death. I am sorry that Dave and I didn't get together in recent years, as much as I would have desired. I can so vividly remember all those great times that Dave and I, with our group of friends, spent during those school years in Albany, and later when we were married, played cards on Friday nights. He will be sorely missed by many.
