Obituary of Rose Fishman
Rose Marian Fishman of Silver Spring, MD, passed away May 15, 2014, after a short illness. Rose was the daughter of Abraham and Ethel Toback and the wife of the late Robert Fishman. Rose moved with her parents and sister from New Jersey to Albany as a child and graduated from AHS in 1951, where she excelled in the commercial courses she took. In recognition of her hard work, she was honored in 2010 by the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation. Rose was a funny, bright, generous and loving woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her devoted children, Faith (Dwight) Parks and Alan (Michele) Fishman and her dear sister Thelma (the late Saul) Ikler of Albany. She was the grandmother of 5 and the great grandmother of 3. She was the cherished aunt of Linda (Louis) Gilboord and Janis (Stewart) Altmayer, all of Albany.
