Obituary of Beatrice Fox
Beatrice Koslowitz Fox, age 89 of Schenectady, NY died on Thursday evening, May 1, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Fox would have celebrated her 90th birthday on Sunday. Ironically, she and her husband Bernard celebrated the same birthday. Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Beatrice resided in Brooklyn, New York most of her life and had been a Capital District resident since 1998. She was a member of Congregation Beth Israel in Schenectady and their sisterhood. Bea was a professional drummer and played with the group, 3 Charms. Sharing the same musical interests she met the love of her life Bernard one magical night when they were playing at adjacent clubs in Brooklyn.
Beatrice is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bernard L. Fox. Beloved mother of Andrea Golub and her husband David of Niskayuna, NY and Floyd Fox and his wife Caryn of Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Cherished grandmother of Shayna, Hailey and Max Golub and Matthew, Benjamin and Joshua Fox. Beatrice also leaves many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews.
Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 1:00pm, Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will follow services in the Beth Israel Cemetery on Abbottsford Road in Rotterdam, NY.
