Obituary of Alice Baker
Alice A. Baker, age 76 of Central Avenue in Albany died on Monday morning, April 28, 2014 at her residence. Born in Bennington, Vermont, Alice had been a resident of Albany for more than 40 years. She had been the owner of the former Alice Baker Inc. Electrolysis on Central Avenue in Albany and was currently the owner of Little Motors; a well known pre owned automobile business. She was a championship golfer and had been Past President of the Central Avenue Merchants Association. Alice always went the extra mile to ensure special financing for her customers, taking pleasure in the end result
Alice is survived by her loving daughters, Rhonda J. Bourtell of Albany and Crystal Marion (Ronald) of Wilton, New York as well as a son, Miles DeForest of North Carolina. Cherished grandmother of Christa Carmin - Levanites, (Kurt) Cecile and Jacob DeForest and Skye, Nakia and Anisha Marion. Great grandmother of Justin and Jasmine Levanites. She also leaves a sister, Paula Dicranian of Massachusetts and was the step-daughter of Laneta Dicranian . She was predeceased by a brother, Paul Dicranian
Calling hours will be held at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany on Wednesday April 30, 2014 from 4-7pm. A prayer service will be held immediately following calling hours at 7:00pm.
