To the Brown Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Since I grew up in Schenectady, I have many memories of both your lovely parents...from seeing them at the synagogue to going to your father for my orthodontic work! Your mother was such a sweet, kind and intelligent woman...always sincerely interested in other people's lives, no matter how much time had passed since the last meeting. She will be missed by many. Someone once told me...the person may not be here, but the relationship never ends. So true. "May her memory be for a blessing." Susan Backer

My deepest sympathies to all the Browns for loss of a treasured woman. My own relationship with Judy spanned many years. When I first moved back to Schenectady, she welcomed me with warmth and kindness. Hosting events in her home, she greeted each person like they alone were the most special guest who arrived on her doorstep! Whether she was excitedly carrying a pail of tadpoles and other living organisms to examine... or explaining how to force forsythia to open in early spring, Judy was always teaching something of value. She was intelligent and demure, wise and gentle, a mother to many and a friend to all. My fondest memories of Judy were my daily visits as I walked my pup Farfel around the block to her house. She loved that dog! Each day she would giggle as Farfel would run to greet her. There she sat in her chair in the sun, writing and reading and she told me about her family. Each person a gift to her. She shared her stories and her heart and I felt truly blessed. Thank you to the Brown family for sharing your mom with all of us who needed a little more mothering. She will be greatly missed. Art and I send you prayers of healing and love. May Judy's memory be for a blessing always. Deb and Art Friedson
