Dear Marc Carrie and family I was so sorry to hear of Mr Weiss passing. I had the privlige of working for Gene for more than 10 years. Its true he had the reputation for being a shrewd bussiness man but I saw the side of Gene very few people ever did. The caring thoughtful man who was the first to help someone in need family, friend employee or stranger. He taught me so much about business and life. I will always remember my many talks with him fondly and my favorite thing hed say to me. ..Jim come walk with me. Rest In Peace Mr Weiss.

So sorry I could not attend the Shiva, but the funeral was one of the most inspiring and moving I've ever experienced. I would just like to share an event of nearly 30 years ago that at the time, and even now, seemed like a fairy tale. Eugene offered my family (9 of us) the use of your condo in Orlando so that we could even dream of affording a trip to Disney World. More amazing than the sights at Disney World, for me, the mom, was one of the burners on the stove in that condo. It was some kind of super burner that could cook a giant pot of pasta in minutes. The fact that there was a maid available was nearly as exciting. I will never forget that kind, generous gesture from a giant in his prime who surely had more weighty issues to think about. How very deep is your loss and all of ours! May you find comfort in knowing that your dearest husband, father and grandfather will live on for all of us as the finest model of the greatness we can aspire to. All the best, Faye Silton

May his memory continue to burn in the hearts and minds of all who knew him and of him. He touched so many in his life in one way or another. I will never forget the man that taught me so much in my time with him. He will truly be missed. May God be with the entire Weiss family.

While I have known Ros for several years I only met Jeno once as we live on opposing Coasts. It was a meeting worth more as he was funny, kind to me and we all had a lovely time together. So glad I had the experience and my heartfelt love and sympathy go out to his family.

While visiting my friend Ros in NY, my sister and I were privileged to meet her husband Jeno.
As it turned out, we stayed up quite late discussing the world's problems. I have to say that I have never been quite so impressed by someone who so genuinely radiated gentleness and sweetness, something I will never forget.
Jeno, it was a pleasure meeting you.

I met Mr. Weiss on a trip that I made with my sister to New York. One night we sat at his kitchen table asking him questions and talking about current events late into the night. I felt like I was talking to my own father. We could (and did) ask him anything and he gave an honest, thoughtful answer. I adored him. I have never been that affected by someone I knew for so short a period.

My deepest sympathies to Mrs Weiss, Alex, Gail, Marc, their spouses, and children. The world has lost a great man, and a true treasure. During the 20 years I worked for Mr Weiss, I saw first hand how much he loved his family. Watching him light up when his grandchildren would come in the office for a visit was such a pleasure. He was the strongest man I have ever known, and also the most gracious. He had a heart of gold, and always made me feel like family. I adored him. I have so many, many memories that I will carry with me forever, from talking Yankees, to debating over what little I knew of politics, but most of all I will miss hearing him say everyday "Hi, how are you? How we doing?". Rest in peace Mr Weiss. ~ Leslie
