Obituary of Pearl Weinstock
Pearl Levack Weinstock, age 97 of Chicago, Illinois, former longtime Albany resident died on Monday, January 6, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chicago. Pearl was the daughter of the late Fannie and Charles Levack. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Pearl had been a Capital District resident most of her life. She had been employed as a Senior Statistic Clerk for SUNY. Mrs. Weinstock was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth and their sisterhood. She was also a member of Hadassah. Pearl was an avid reader. She had been the recipient of the Albany Citizen of the Year Award.
She was married to Irving Weinstock until his passing in 2000. Loving Mother of Dr.Wendy Weinstock Brown Chicago, Illinois. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Brown ( Pamela Hewett) , Joshua ( Monica) Brown, Julie Hall ( Roger) , Rachel Brown , Michael Greenstein ( Melanie Johnson) , David Greenstein ( Abby Wolf) and Carly Greenstein ( Frank Capuano) . She also leaves 4 great grandchildren, Ethan, Maddox, Finn and Liam Brown. Mother in law of Dr.Stephen Greenstein and Barry Brown ( Jean) . In addition to her husband Irving she was predeceased by 2 daughters, Dr. Susan Weinstock Greenstein and Deborah E. Weinstock and a brother, Meyer Levack.
Services at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Road in Albany on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Beth Emeth Cemetery in Loudonville, NY.
