Obituary of Larry A. Feldman
Larry A. Feldman, age 54 of Rexford, New York died suddenly on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at his residence. Born in Schenectady, Larry was a graduate of Niskayuna High School, Hudson Valley Community College and attended Siena College. Following his education, Larry joined the family business, Empire State Wholesale in Latham and was responsible for its dramatic growth He later, merged Empire State Wholesale with Almo Specialty Products and grew with the firm to become Senior Vice President. He was a pioneer in innovating new products to the United States. He traveled extensively and gained the respect of business associates internationally.
Larry had a great passion for boating and spent many memorable wonderful times and participating in poker runs in several states.
He is survived by the "love of his life", Christina Cognetta Feldman. He is the loving son of Shirley Levine Feldman of Schenectady and the late Max Feldman. Devoted brother of Louis (Cathy) Feldman of Latham, NY, Doreen (Larry) Smith of Slingerlands, NY and Debbie (Charlie) Wilkinson of Niskayuna, NY. He was the cherished uncle of Leonard Smith, David (Ashley) Feldman, Michael Feldman, Leah Wilkinson, Rebekah Wilkinson and Christopher Glindmyer. Larry is the son-in- law of Frances (Phil) Lawson and the late Robert Cognetta. He is the brother in law of Robin (Peter) Glindmyer and Patricia (Tom) Wood. He also leaves his loving canine companions, "Sherwin Williams" and "Bosley". Larry will long be remembered for his constant devotion, love and support of his family and friends. who will sorely miss him.
Services at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Avenue Schenectady, NY on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery on Watt Street in Schenectady.
