SNSC posted a condolence

In the previous article, Coleman's title was described as "TEMPORARY PERMANENT CHAIRMAN ".......there is some different opinions as to that accuracy....It may have been "PERMANENT TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN".
So be it. Let Cole choose.

Dear Joy, My love and fond thoughts of Cole come to light as I remember a good friend and the times we had over the years with the supper club and beyond. May your memories of your great father be a comfort to you as you recollect the happy and healthy years you had together. May we always remember!

Cole Ellen was also the TEMPORARY PERMANENT CHAIRMAN of the Saturday Night Supper Club (SNSC) for over 30 years; a tight group of six couples, from Gloversville, and Schenectady, who spent, once a month, at one of the members houses, as guests, for a superb full blown formal dinner. Each couple would be designated a specific entrée by the hostess, to be home cooked, to be brought to the dinner. The host would always provide the main course. At the conclusion of each monthly dinner would be a formal meeting in which both normal meeting protocol would be practiced as well as some special entertainment that the host would present. Interesting and loud discussion would always be held during the good and welfare portions. For the 25th anniversary their dinner and meeting was held in Las Vegas. During the early years the children would participate during the extra holiday functions the SNSC shared together. It was twenty years before lost the first of it's members. This year, 2020, only one couple is still living, Kathe' and Jerry Kolins Scottsdale and singles Barret Silverman of Gloversville and Bernis Hecht of Florida.
In addition, Cole was the acting Santa Claus for 30 + years on Christmas Eve for guests arriving for a Christmas Eve social gathering. For dozens of years people sat on his Santa Claus costumed knee while receiving their "grab-bag" gifts. Link to Video here. (COPY/PASTE: https://youtu.be/mXxNFyTXZko).
