To Peter, Emma and Katie,
Our hearts are broken with the sadness of Gayle’s passing. Gayle was such a strong And enduring presence in our world - at our workplace, or schools, our temple and our community.
I had the great pleasure of working with Gayle many years ago when we both worked in the NYS Senate. She was such a pleasure to work with and helped address and solve a lot constituent issues. She was a problem solver. I also had an opportunity to partner with Gayle on numerous initiatives when she worked at various associations. She was multi-talented and her skill sets were well sought after.
It was obvious that Peter and Gayle were devoted and dedicated parents to Emma and Katie. They have raised two beautiful, kind and intelligent young women. Getting a hug at Beth Emeth from Emma means the world to us. We also saw that both Gayle and Peter were very involved in contributing their time and energy for students at Bethlehem. Gayle was such a positive and energetic person who volunteered for so many programs and functions at Beth Emeth. You could tell that Emma and Katie were so proud of their Mom. Peter I think followed Gayle’s lead (Which was infectious) and also was very giving of his time too. We served on the Board of Trustees at Beth Emeth together. Of course, when Katie performed with her cappella group at Beth Emeth (which Sue and I were amazed at) Gayle beamed the entire time.
We know that her Passport enterprise was very important to her and we were both very proud of Gayle, but not surprised that she had such success. She had all the qualities to be successful - intelligence, integrity and passion.
We will greatly miss Gayle presence in our lives and will be here for her wonderful family. The Bethlehem and Beth Emeth communities are much emptier today without Gayle. However, she has left a very, very impressive, amazing and lasting legacy.
With our heartfelt condolences,
David and Sue Wollner

We live two houses down from the Grenis family here in Vestal NY. Gayle was the babysitter of choice for our two daughters during their elementary and middle school years. I remember Gayle very well--she was a delightful teenager. Jean and I attended her wedding in 1991, which was a very classy affair. Gayle was a bright, intelligent and poised young woman when we knew her. I remember thinking she had ice water in her veins at her bat mitzvah at Temple Concord, the Reform synagogue of Binghamton.

I am truly heartbroken over this news. Gayle was a beautiful person. She inspired so many people to find the best in all. She once told me “ you are a part of our family “ and I will forever feel that way. Everyone knows what a powerful, passionate woman she was. Her love and dedication to her family was amazing. Peter, Katie & Emma.
We are heartbroken for you! I'd recently learned of Gayle's diagnosis. When I learned of her passing it was breathtaking. I found it hard to believe that the woman I knew, a woman who could always "get the job done," was no longer with us. I admired her for her passion and fierce educational advocacy. Please know that Benny, Eliana & I are keeping you in our loving thoughts every day. We look forward to being able to share our admiration for Gayle and continuing love of you in the days ahead. Much love to all of you - Paula, Benny & Eliana DiBiase

Peter, Katie and Emma. Our hearts are broken, along with yours. We will never understand why such a vibrant, unique and incredible woman such as Gayle would be taken so soon. She loved all three of you fiercely, as you know, and that was evident to all. Gayle’s spirit will be with you each day, each moment and she will help you through this. Look for signs as I believe she will send many to the 3 of you. We love you and are here for anything you may need in the years to come.

To all of Gayle's Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. We have not kept in touch lately, and I had no idea she was ill. This is the most terrible shock and loss. We are thinking of you, but know this will be a devastating time.
I knew Gayle from Hebrew school through High School, NFTY and in College and Beyond. She was a big part of my life, and had a big influence on me. She made me want to be a better person. I will always remember all the crazy and fun times we had, and her kindness and generosity.
When this craziness in the world settles down, I would be honored to spend some time with you all, remembering, in Albany or Binghamton.
Please take care of yourselves and stay safe. Call or email if you ever want to talk.
Love always, Rhonda, Jon, and family. (603) 864-9649
