I went to school with Jocelyn since Grammar school @ P.S. #30 in Yonkers right up through High school @ Lincoln High. I remember her as being a very nice and kind classmate. I'm sorry to hear of her passing and I send my prayers and thoughts out to her family. God Bless and R.I.P.
My deepest condolences,

Jocelyn was our across the street neighbor in Delmar - we lived on opposite corners of Winne and Wellington from each other. Our kitchen sink windows looked across to each other and I have so many memories of sharing drive way chats, sidewalk chats and visits in our homes. Our daughters Annika and Catherine loved growing up across the street from Jocelyn. One of their favorite things to do was to be able to walk over by themselves and ring the door bell for a visit or to deliver a goodie during the holidays. Jocelyn always remembered them on her many trips and frequently brought back little treasures. I still have a beautiful conch shell she gave the girls - it is as beautiful and strong as she was. I'm so glad to have it and we will remember her always. We are all so sad for your loss and our loss too.

Jocelyn was a neighbor, friend and fellow poodle-lover. She would run from her house to greet our dogs or open her gate for the dogs to play. I think our dogs loved her as much as they love us. Her great smile lit up the neighborhood. She will be greatly missed. To both Michaels, you were lucky to have such a special lady in your lives. I am sorry for your great loss.

It was my honor and privilege to work with Jocelyn at the Capitol for over 20 years. She was the consummate professional. Jocelyn was one of the very few who understood the incredible complexity of the state education law formulae for funding public education in the state. She worked under incredible pressure to negotiate the annual state education aid component of the budget— nearly always the last component of the budget to be completed. Despite the pressure and grueling hours of work day and night Jocelyn always remained remarkably calm and courteous to all during times of stress. She was magnificent to work with. Loved her smile and laugh when all around her acted like their hair was unfire. She was tremendous and I’m awfully sorry to learn of her passing at such a young age.

My condolences and prayers to the family for your loss. It was a pleasure to know and work with Jocelyn in the NYS Assembly. We spent many grueling long days and nights working together. She was a fierce lady and respected by many! God bless, may she rest in paradise.

It was my privilege to have known Jocelyn and and to have worked with and her for more than 15 years in the Assembly. Her smile and her laughter are the first of many memories - along with her steely commitment to always reaching for the right thing to do. She was both a real pro and a warm and caring friend. My love to her family.

My condolences to Jocelyn’s close family and friends. I hope the wonderful memories of your time together and her zest for life help fill the void she leaves. Although I have not seen Jocelyn in years, I will always remember her as a strong, intelligent and caring person as well as a very devoted and proud mother.

We shared a birthday. We shared unruly hair. We shared work in the Assembly and later, a community in Delmar. Rest in power Jocelyn! You leave a legacy of good work that will live on.

Jocelyn was a colleague for 30 years at the Assembly. She was smart, tough and an accomplished advocate for the Assembly and the Education system of NY. Hard to over emphasize how important she was. I was kind of afraid of her when I started because of her tough rep, you had to be on your game with her. But she was a kind friend and colleague. My condolences to family and friends, she was taken much too young.

Jocelyn was a strong determined woman with a great and winning smile with small crinkles at her eyes. She was smart and warm. Jocelyn helped countless new legislators understand the complex and inexplicable education funding formulas which changed without rhyme or reason. She was a fine and committed public servant who gave her life to advancing education for New York's children. She will be missed. rest in power- deborah

I knew Jocelyn for 40 years. She was always a strong, intellectual presence. One cannot overestimate the positive impact Jocelyn made on public education, and good government. I am good to know Michael was present in recent times. Jocelyn took great pride in Michael's advocacy for nature and wild life. She clung to this life. Now God and the angels will be seeking her advice and counsel. Like I did so often. Brian p
