Obituary of Patricia Milstein
Patricia Milstein (Rudnick), age 80, of Albany died on Wednesday morning , October 16, 2013 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. She lived a charmed life. Born in Albany, the daughter of Sophya Rudnick, Pat met her future husband, Robert Milstein, when she was 17. For 60 years Pat and Bob enjoyed a love affair that was filled with joy and happiness. Together they built a wonderful life, a beautiful family and a successful business. Pat was a devoted mother and grandmother, taking great pleasure in their every accomplishment, big or small.
Pat was the consummate homemaker and hostess, filling the family home with culinary delights, wonderful parties and memorable social gatherings. She had exceptional taste and an eye for beauty which graced almost everything she touched-- her home, her gardens, her gifts and, the presentation of almost every meal she served. When Pat and Bob retired, they became winter residents of Sarasota, Florida, a lifestyle they happily maintained for 20 years. When Bob passed away in October 2009, Pat returned to Albany, living with her son David, her grandchildren, and her granddog, Oreo, who gave her much pleasure.
Pat is survived by her children, Mark, Barbara, David and Janice; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Alex, Rachel, Sophie, and Jake Milstein and Rachel and Hannah Breslau; her sister Hilly Saunders, and her brother, Stephen Rudnick.
Services will be held at the Beth Emeth Cemetery on Turner Lane in Loudonville, N.Y. on _Thursday,October 17, 2013 (today) at 1:00pm. Shiva will be observed on Thursday at 7:00 at the home of David Milstein, 1 Woodside Drive, Albany. Donations may be made in Pat's memory to the The Community Hospice.
