I met “Miss Brown” in the early fifties at Yates Elementary School in Schenectady, NY. Although I was not fortunate enough to have her as a teacher, my brother, David, was most fortunate. “Miss Brown” was his first, second, and third grade teacher. I do believe they had a ‘Mutual Admiration Society’. My brother also met his best friend for life in her third grade class.
I am not at all surprised, when reading her obituary, that she touched so many lives so lovingly throughout her life. God bless her dear soul.
My deepest sympathy to all her wonderful family.

Larry and I are so sorry to hear of Doris’s demise. She was such a caring and thoughtful woman. We much enjoyed her company as well as Bob’s. At Hadassah we worked together to create successful fundraising and educational projects. She was an inspiration to all. I know you will sorely miss her and you have all our sympathy in your time of grieving.
Yours, Ellen and Larry Eisenberg

Mrs. Pletman (I always called her that out of respect), were talking one day and I asked her if raising two boys was difficult. I was thinking of my aunt who raised two boys and it was almost the end of her. Anyway she said it was no problem for her. I don't think anything was a problem for her she was so
strong. I asked her if they "got along" she said not so much then but they really liked each other now.
I followed up with which one tried her patience the most. Right away she said Michael-- a big smile on her face when she said it. Ed was the quieter one of the two. She loved her boys.
