To the Pryba and Kornfeld families,
I don't know if you remember who I am, but I am Barbara's oldest friend, since we were 7 years old. We haven't seen each other in many years but speak a few times a year, calling each other on our birthdays. When she didn't call me for my birthday in May, I was concerned, but I have been dealing with my own health issues and am recovering from a second surgery I had just last week. Finally on something of an even keel, I tried to call but after finding both phones were no longer in service, I went online to try to find you. That is when I saw the obituary.
To say I am sorry does not nearly express how I feel. We have been friends since second grade. I flew in from England to be maid of honor at your parents wedding.
While we were not geographically close, our hearts were and always will be forever entwined.
When you are ready, I would love to share with you some photos of our childhood and teen years.

Dear Bradley and Russell,
I am so very sorry for your loss. She was a brave, wonderful, hard working mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
I am so sorry, I was unaware of her passing until our mutual friend Valerie found her obituary.
I was a friend of your Mom's. Valerie , your mom and I worked together at CWC.
We shared many good times together. After CWC closed, we remained good friends and spent time together...I wish it had been more. Both Valerie and I tried to reach out to her, but your mom was also a fiercely private person. I think your mom was trying hard to spare everyone around her what she was going through.
Please take strength from the fact she was a strong woman. She loved you both with all her heart. She adored Wesley and her "grandpuppy". She couldn't wait to tell us she was expecting another grandchild.
I hope all the wonderful memories you shared with your mom help carry you and your family through this difficult time. Please know that others share in your loss and grieve with you.
With sincere condolences.

I just read about Barbara's passing and want to send my heartfelt condolences to her Family. I first met Barbara in 1972 at St. Anne Institute in Albany where we both worked. We were both newly married she was employed there and I was in grad school. We stayed friendly colleagues over many decades while she worked with the Albany Police Children's Unit and when she worked at Hope House.
She was a kind gentle soul who loved her family. May she rest in peace.
