I was Dr. Symansky's secretary at Columbia-Greene Community College from 1986 until 1991. He was a fascinating teacher of language and international culture. One of his bright accomplishments was arranging an International Night at C-GCC. What a wonderful event it was, all of his students dressed in international costumes of the countries they wanted to represent and many local restaurants and business owners participated. I have so many fond memories of my old friend. I asked him once.. how are you able to be so versed in so many languages and cultures - he told me, "each new language is like a song." I will never forget his generosity and kindness. God Bless you, Leonard. You will be missed by many.

My sincere condolences the entire family during this difficult time. May you find a measure of comfort in God's promise at Revelation 21:3,4 where we look forward to a time when there will be no more pain and death any more.

Len was a lovely man. I enjoyed talking to him. I loved seeing his joy as he related to people in various languages. My condolences to Selma.
