Obituary of Sylvia Kaplan
Sylvia ( Levitch) Kaplan passed away peacefully on September 8, 2013 at the Teresian House in Albany. NY. Sylvia was born on May 2, 1920. Sylvia was the beloved mother of Robert Kaplan( Isabel) Palm Springs, CA:Richard Kaplan (Jan) Pasadena, CA;and Cheryl Kaplan, Albany, NY. She is also survived by her granddaughter Shana Kaplan ( Vince); Incline Village, NV and grandson , Matthew Kaplan , San Francisco, Ca, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Sylvia had a way of bringing laughter to all who knew her. Her sense of humor and her traditional Jewish cooking will be her legacy. No one could go to mom's without hearing "eat ...eat... eat"!. Sylvia was an avid golfer, bowler, loved a casino and never missed a bingo game. She spent her earlier years in the fashion industry before retiring from M. Solomon's as their Bridal Consultant . There aren't enough words to thank the staff at Teresian House for their utmost kindness and care during mom's stay there. They all have earned their wings.
Services at the Temple Israel Cemetery, Western Avenue, Guilderland, NY on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 1:00pm.
