Mr. Ainspan’s death is a sad event for all of us who knew him. He was my favorite music teacher at RCS. He was a rare person, and many students are very grateful that we had the luck to know him. He inspired so many students. Many years have passed but I still remember his store at Quail St. and his love for music. I send you my warm sympathy.
Sincerely
Cindy Radliff

I'm so sorry for the loss of Mr. Ainspan in our lives. Yet at the same time I am happy for him... He is now free. He will walk with his beloved wife and daughter in that promised land. Good for him, he made it! What a full and wonderful life of sharing he led. I have thought of him so many times over the years... My fondest memory is singing 'The Entertainer' in the RCS concerts. I can only remember the first line of the words and have tried to find the rest of the lyrics to no avail. It left me wondering if Mr. Ainspan had written the words himself. I would love to sing it again for him! He was a blessing to so many of us and I hope it brings his family great comfort to know how beloved he was.
Condolences from Phyllis Buckley, as well as from her mother, Norma June

To the Ainspan family,
I had Mr. Ainspan as a music teacher at the Selkirk Elementary school from 1st through 3rd grade. I really looked forward to each of his classes as he made music so much fun to do and learn. Mr. Ainspan taught with my Dad, Richard Neumann. They taught together for many many years. In my later teen years Mr. Ainspan gave me accordian lessons in that little shop at Quail and Madison. He made an impact on my life as I continue to enjoy listening to and playing music (guitar and piano). I have many fond memories of grade school because he was an important piece of school. My condolences to all in the Ainspan family.

Nathan,
Martin was a wonderful teacher. I took accordion lessons from him starting at the age of six and learned so much. Later, I taught beginners at the studio when I was in high school. I also babysat for you and Sara and I enjoyed spending time with your family.
Elli and I send our deepest condolences.

Nathan, Debbie and Issac, please accept my most sincere condolences. I feel like my heart broke when I read of your Dad's passing. Those we hold in such high esteem should never leave us. It is impossible to let you know how much your father meant to me. He helped me so much when I first began working at Becker, and over the years we formed a very unique friendship. During the 15 years we worked together the memories we developed were amazing, fun and at times exhausting. All of the concerts and operettas, all the students, all the complications on and off stage are burned in my heart. I regret that I will not be able to be there tomorrow to personally let you know much I valued your father. We are now living 4 hours away in northern NY. Now every September 6, I will not only think of your mom, but will miss my annual birthday phone call.
