Matthews. Betty is predeceased by her husband Lorenzo B. Alvaro, Jr.,

III., and her granddaughter Christine Cooperider (Cricket). She is

Rowlett, David and Wayne Cooperider III, and Skylar and Saige Morin, and adopted
Grandchild Melinda Mosher as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Betty worked for and retired from NY State. She gave many years of
dedicated volunteer service to the Church of Saint Mary’s in Clinton
Heights and held dear many of her friendships she gained from the
church. To show the support of all the love Betty has showed over the
years to her friends and family, working together, we were able to
honor her wishes in staying in her home until she was called to be
with all her loved ones that have gone before her. This could not have
been done alone; family, friends, doctors and neighbors all made this
possible. Special thanks to her caregiver Lystra; Dr. Sandel and staff for the
support needed; Rich, Eileen and Mike for all the years of watching
over Betty; and Rensselear Community Hospice for providing us with the
guidance and support needed to help Gram with this journey. Family
asks that donations be made to St Mary’s Church of Clinton Heights; or
Community Hospice of Rensselear.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights 163 Columbia Turnpike Rensselaer, NY at 9:30am. Interment will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Greenbush, NY
