Obituary of Miriam Radofsky Radlin
MIRIAM RADOFSKY RADLIN
Miriam Radofsky Radlin, age 93 of the Massry Residence in Albany died on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center. Born in NYC, Miriam resided in Flushing, NY for most of her life moving to the Capital District area 91/2 years ago. She was a graduate of Erasmus Hall High School and attended Hunter College. She was a member of Temple Israel in Albany and had been a longtime member of the Garden Jewish Center of Greater Flushing. Miriam had been very active with the Mitchell- Linden Chapter of the Women's League for Israel.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years. Robert Radofsky Radlin. Loving Mother of Beverly Geisler (Warren) of Menands, NY, Judi Rourke (Mike) of Athens, NY and Barry Radlin of Williamsville, NY. Sister of Estelle Taxon of New Jersey. Grandmother of David and Jeffrey Radlin and Andrew and Michelle Geisler. She was the aunt of Elaine Zajkowski and Donna Taxon. Miriam was predeceased by her brother, Jack Mosoff.
Services will be held in the chapel of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center , 180 Washington Avenue Extension on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in the Temple Israel Cemetery in Guilderland, NY. Those wishing to remember Miriam in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the Daughters of Sarah Foundation, 180 Washington Avenue Ext. Albany, NY 12203 or the Massry Foundation, 182 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY 12203. The period of mourning will be observed at the Geisler residence, 34 Park Drive in Menands, NY on Sunday following the funeral service, throughout the day on Monday with a service a 8:00pm, and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday throughout the day with a service each of those evenings at 7:00pm. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Ted Zeltner, the staff of Community Hospice of Albany and the staff at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center for kindnesses shown to Miriam and our family during her illness.
