Obituary of Jay David Fluster

 

 

 

 

Jay David Fluster, 88 of Guilderland, NY died on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center.  Jay was born in Albany, NY and was a lifelong resident.  He was a graduate of Albany High School and attended Alfred University.  Mr. Fluster had been Vice President of the H.A. Collman Electric Co. of Albany, NY and past President of JAO Electric also in Albany. He was later President of Loyal Supply Co. in Albany and the past President of the Albany Electrical Contractors and had been a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge #85 in Albany.

 

Jay is survived by his loving wife of more than 60 years, Eileen Blacker Fluster.  They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in January, 2019.  Father of Mark Fluster (Michelle) of Slingerlands, NY, Eric Fluster (the late Kathy) of North Carolina and Brian Fluster (Susan) of Simsbury, CT.  Jay leaves five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his brother Joe Fluster.

 

Services at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Road, Albany, NY on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 12:00 pm.  Interment will follow in the Beth Emeth Cemetery, Loudonville, NY.  Those wishing to remember Jay in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, 180 Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12203. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Mark and Michelle Fluster, 11 Seneca Court in Slingerlands, NY on Saturday evening, December 1st from 7-9pm
