I worked for the NYS Tax Department for 37 years but never had the pleasure of working with Stan. I met Stan when we were both on the Board of Directors of the Tax Alumni Club. Stan was a true gentleman. Don’t think I ever met a man nicer than Stan. We set together at many of the Tax Alumni Club’s quarterly luncheons. The obituary stated that Stan was Secretary of the Club but Stan was actually President for several years. I would also run into Stan on his daily walks. I couldn’t believe how far he would walk. I would see him miles from his home and wished I had his energy. I was sad when I heard he was moving to New Mexico. I missed seeing him at the Tax Alumni Club events.

I am so, so sorry for your lose so many good times with both your parents. Will never forget the Sunday 10 mile hikes with your Dad. Your Mom would meet us at the end and we’d all go to breakfast.
You will probably never know the many, many, many boys your Dad helped during scouting. He was such a roll model to these boys.
I personally will always be ever grateful to him for his friendship and the kindness he extended to my son.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad and mom were two of my favorite people at B'nai Sholom and both were always ready to pitch in and help whenever I needed it. I am sorry I will not be able to attend on Thursday as I will be traveling to CA for my brother's memorial service. Interestingly enough, he attended at least 2 of those Jamborees that your dad was at.

I knew Stan through Boy Scouts. He and my first husband were very good friends. I appreciated the fact that you helped him with holiday greetings for his old friends in Albany. He was a wonderful man, devoted to the youth of America. He and Anne were a special part of my contacts with BSA.
Please know that I am thinking of you and am sorry for your loss.
May God welcome him home.
