Obituary of Diane Isenberg

 

 

 

 

Diane Isenberg, age 75, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018.  Born in Newark, NJ she was the daughter of the late Herman and Ruth Angert Kaplan.

 

Diane graduated from William Paterson College with a BA in Education and a Master’s Degree in special education from The College of St. Rose.  She began her teaching career with the Schalmont Central School District and then later with the Bethlehem Central School District until her retirement.  Diane was instrumental in the creation of the remedial math program at the elementary level in the Bethlehem School District and was the first remedial math teacher in the district’s elementary schools.

 

Diane and her husband Barry were first introduced 58 years ago and were happily married for 53 years. Together they traveled throughout Europe, Canada, the US, Mexico, the Caribbean and Israel. They were blessed to have had such a long and full life together.

 

Diane was also an avid reader and loved swimming and walking, spending time with and talking to her many close friends, and visiting with her beloved children and grandchildren.  She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

 

 Beloved wife of Barry Isenberg; loving mother of Craig Isenberg (Kristin) and Jan Snedaker (Marcus); sister of Jane Kaplan and cherished grandmother of Zoe, Cali, Jake, Bryce and Ella. 

 

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, November, 19, 2018 at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Rd. Albany.  Interment will follow in Beth Emeth Cemetery, Loudonville. 

 

Following the service of interment, the family will receive visitors at the family home in Slingerlands until 8:00pm

Funeral Service

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, November, 19, 2018 at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Rd. Albany.

Interment

Interment will follow the service in Beth Emeth Cemetery, Loudonville.

Reception

Following the service of interment, the family will receive visitors at the Isenberg residence in Slingerlands until 8:00 PM.
