Obituary of James Handy Laws III
James Handy Laws III, 27, of Malden Bridge, NY died Monday, November 5 in a motor vehicle accident that involved a drunk driver. James was born August 29, 1991 in Troy, NY to Glen and Kathy (Valenti) Laws. James attended both Niskayuna and Schoharie schools; graduated from Schoharie HS 2009. He was currently working at Zia's Pizzeria in Nassau where he enjoyed the art of pizza making.
James was a very bright and compassionate soul. He used his wit, humor, and overall warm nature to bring cheer to those around him. James enjoyed deep philosophical talks, spending time with his friends, and was very passionate about his dogs, Strider and Duke. James was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
James is survived by his mother, Kathy (Valenti) Laws, his sister, Melissa Laws, both maternal grandparents, Kathleen (Rayno) and Louis Pincher, his paternal grandmother, Elaine (Glendon) Laws, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins along with a niece and nephew.
A memorial service officiated by Rabbi Matt Cutler will be on Monday, November 12 at 1pm at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Ave, Schenectady, followed by a luncheon.
