Obituary of Harold Menter

 

MENTER

Harold Menter, age 91 of Schenectady, NY died on Thursday evening, September 27, 2018 at the Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady after a 3 month illness. Harold was born in Syracuse, and resided in Schenectady for many years.  He was a Navy veteran and served during World War II. Mr Menter was employed for many years by GE and was retired. He had been a former member of Congregation Agudat Achim in Schenectady.  Harold was employed at one time as an office manager for NYFAC which was a small office that dealt with substance abuse counseling.

 

Harold leaves his loving wife of 58 years, Rosalind Michelson Menter, 2 daughters, Helene ( Ed) Stevens of Middletown, NY and Karen Menter of Indiana. Brother of Bernice Applebaum of NJ. Brother in law of Phyllis Shamus and her husband Richard of Latham, NY. Grandfather of Heather Stevens.

 

Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel 649 Washington Avenue Albany on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 12 noon. Interment will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
