I want to share that I had the honor to have met Frank through the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. I followed him as treasurer of the organization and much of what Frank set up is still in place today.
I also had the pleasure of skiing with him for several years. I initially got to know him in 2000 when we had the meeting in Val d'isere France. He was always upbeat and I loved to ski behind him and enjoy his easy going whistle. (yes, he would whistle while he skied). He was a beautiful skier and was effortless. He would keep an eye on us weaker skiers and give us encouragement. He told amazing stories of the days of the Olympics in Lake Placid and the Miracle on Ice hockey games.
He has been deeply missed since he stopped going a few years ago. He did not enjoy coming without his beloved Bobby.
We are looking at options to pay tribute to Frank within the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. We will keep you posted as to what is decided.
Meanwhile, if the family wants to contact me I can keep you updated.
My deepest condolences!

My deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Franklin Rapp.. Dr. Rapp was my 3 dog's caring vet for almost 25 years. He was meticulous in his treatment which was always of the highest professional order. I was the one who informed Dr. Rapp about the existence of the Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard and it's mission of honoring deceased veterans and he embraced the mission wholeheartedly and became a dedicated member.I will always remember Dr. Rapp as one who cared deeply about the animals he treated , as well as people in general and veterans in particular. R.I.P .Dr. Rapp , you have completed your mission and earned your rest. Ron Tamoschat.

I want to express my condolences to the relatives and friends of Frank Rapp.
Frank was a good friend and skiing partner for me for many years. We first met at Ski Windham about 25 years ago, and we skied together at Salt Lake City for many years, with the 70+ Ski Club.
My wife and I often saw Frank and Bobby at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center during the summer. We were fortunate enough to meet him there on two occasions this summer. I will miss him.

Frank and I were classmates at Nott Terrace High School Class of 1947 and we started at Russell Sage College Men's Division together. He transferred to Cornell and I transferred to the University of Maine in our second year.
Frank has been active in our High School Reunions over the years and just recently at our 71st in August he did the Class Toast, which he has done in the past, and was well received. He will be sorely missed and on behalf of his classmates I want give our condolences.

I worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician for Dr. Rapp at Aqueduct Animal Hospital from July 1982 to December 1999.
I graduated from SUNY Canton ATC in 1982 with an AAS degree in Veterinary Science Technology.
Dr. Rapp and Aqueduct were my first LVT job out of college and the beginning of my still continuing 36 year Veterinary Technician career.
I looked up to Dr. Rapp so very highly and always thought of him as a father figure.
Dr. Rapp, thank you so much for taking a chance on me, the 20 year old who was just beginning his veterinary career. You were a wise, caring mentor to me. I will never forget you.
Thank you for everything you taught me and for all you did for me and gave of yourself to me.
Love,
Chuck
