Obituary of Lewis Krupka

Guilderland, New York

Lewis F. Krupka, M.A.,CASAC-G, age 76, of Guilderland, New York, passed away peacefully at his home on August 12,2018.

Lewis was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on December 2, 1941. He graduated from the University of Hartford with a Masters in Sociology. He was the Executive Director of Hope House for 19 years and established Hill House. As Chair of the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Board and numerous other community boards, Lewis played an integral role in helping so many people in the Capital District with alcohol, drugs, and gambling addictions.

Lewis is survived by his best friend and love of his life, his wife of 51 years, Basia Krupka, his children, Sarah Rojas, Aaron Krupka, and Rachel Kidwell, his 6 grandchildren, his brother, William Krupka, and 3 neices and nephew.

Services at Congregation Ohav Shalom, 113 New Krumkill Road in Albany on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 10:30am Interment will follow in the Ohav Shalom Cemetery on Church Road in Guilderland, NY. Those wishing to remember Lewis may make a memorial contribution to the American Diabetes Association
