Obituary of Arlene J. Daffner

     

Arlene Daffner, 84, passed away July 10, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born October 29, 1933 in Schenectady to Harriet and Morris Johnson. Raised in Schenectady, Arlene attended Schenectady schools, graduating from Nott Terrace High School as a junior. After spending a year at Russell Sage College, she went to work for Knolls Atomic and then married the love of her life, Leonard, following which, she became a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Arlene is survived by her loving husband Leonard of 65 years; daughters Karen Daffner, Robin Daffner-Dominelli (William Dominelli), Marci Daffner (Jasme Pugliese); also survived by grandchildren Jessica Smith, Joshua Smith (Kayla DuQuette); great-grandsons Nathanyel and Nickolas Smith; grand-fur babies Madison, Bella, and McKenzie; Brother-in-law Gerald Daffner (Mal); Sister-in-law Beverly Daffner; several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Arlene was a member of Congregation Beth Israel and their sisterhood. The family would like to thank all her caregivers over the past eight months, especially Emily, Josie, and JaHonna; along with doctors, nurses and community hospice (Bonnie and Gina as well as her hairstylist, Lucy.)
