I was very sad to learn of Dr. Pankin’s passing. I was childhood friends with his son Adam. The doctor was a very nice man and I have good memories from my childhood spending time with him and his family. I wish the family all the best and I am very sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace Dr. Pankin.

Dr. Pankin was the Medical Director as I started my professional social work career at Child's Hospital and Nursing Home. He was a generous coworker and respected advisor. I am sorry to hear of his passing and extend my sincere sympathy to his family.

Dr. Pankin was my mother;s physician after young Dr. Mann passed away. He was studying for the medical exams in 1964 when my mother had an emergency and he met us at the hospital, rolled up his sleeves and removed liquid(water) from her back so she could breathe. Unfortunately she was too ill to survive and passed away a week laater. I used him as my internist until he retired. He was compassionate and willing to explain things. Too bad he could not have had better health in later years.

So sad to see Dr. Pankin has passed away. He was my doctor when I was a teenager and beyond. I remember bringing my brother to see him when he was sick and my parents were in Israel. When he heard that my parents were out of the country (we were teenagers) he asked if we needed anything and literally put his hand in his pocket asking if we needed any money. He was a true mensch and a wonderful doctor. May his memory be for a blessing.
