I was so saddened to here of Dr. Wallingford’s passing.I worked with him for many years in Labor and Delivery and had the utmost respect for him. I had the privilege of working with Dr Wallingford at St Peters. My fondest memory is Christmas Day when he would dress as Santa Claus for the children. He was a wonderful Doctor special to all the staff who worked with him.May he Rest In Peace Sarah Young R.N.

I knew Dr.Wallingford many years ago when I worked at St. Peters as a nurse. I met him again as a "fellow" volunteer at the Paverello Center in Albany.I admired him very much. He was one of the finest people that I know. He loved his family very much...you are fortunate to have had him

Dr. Wallingofrd was my OB/GYN for many years until his retirement. He and Graceann were also our friends. Dr. Wallingord was my T.Berry Brazelton of OB. I loved him, I loved his gentle manner, his empathy and kindness that knew no boundary. Graceann was the dedicated wife and best educator in his practice. What a wonderful relationship they had. My heart hurts for you, Graceann. They were a great role model for me as I married my husband, also a physician. Art helped me through miscarriages and because of him I was able to have my healthy baby boy, Charlie, who was married this past weekend 2 days after Art went to heaven. Charlie was the child who completed our family as we did have a beautiful little girl when he was born. I know there was a special angel at our Catholic wedding ceremony celebrated by Fr. Walsh in PA. I felt his presence, his calmness, his devout spirit. After all, if it wasn't for this dear OB doc, Charlie wouldn't be here. Art took care of me & my daughter, Sarah, for years until his retirement & was the person who was responsible for talking to her about Ross Vet School. My daughter told him for years she wanted to become a DVM. He told her about his daughter, Maribeth attending Ross and encouraged Sarah to apply. On our way to fly to Vet School at Ross, Maribeth called to give some wonderful advice and encouragement regarding the next 4 years. I am sure Art called and reminded Maribeth she would be leaving that day. Just the fact that he remembered this with his busy schedule was so touching and so typical. RIP my dear sweet doctor. I wish I had had the chance to know Dr Wallingford better but I see he had been a very busy man!
I first met him through his daughter Marybeth at a charity function for To Love A Child. His name came up so often about his interest, involvement and care for TLC.
I then encountered him at a St Catherine’s function with the same enthusiasm and once again praises for his involvement.
Many in Albany will miss him but he helped so many all around the world

My husband and I are truly saddened to hear of “Wally’s” passing. He was a great doctor and man. He spread kindness and compassion everyday and it was an honor to have worked for him. His smile was infectious and he had a quick witt and humor too.

Wally you were the reason that Albany OB GYN felt like family, not a job. Thank you for your kindness, your compassion, your wonderful sense of humor. You have always had and will always have, my deepest respect. You were my dancing partner and Santa at the Christmas parties, my karaoke singing partner, our Captain of the ship. You loved when I sang the dirty Irish ditty for you and when I sang Happy birthday " Mr. President " in my best Marilyn Monroe impression.
My deepest condolences to your beautiful Graceanne, your children, your grandchildren, your siblings. When you retired and left us our office was never the same. And now the World won't be either.
